Check This Out: How Vesper Ireland scents her drawers…
The VESCORP founder on 11 products that elevate your beauty routine—and your vanity.

I’m always talking about the things I love—stuff I buy fast and talk about even faster. In Check This Out, I ask other people to take the lead and share the beauty products they can’t stop thinking about, the ones that make them go, “Let’s check this out” at the store. Except there’s a twist: I gave everyone a $500 budget, so only the most loved picks made the cut.
You know when you meet someone who seemingly knows everyone? That’s Vesper Ireland—except she kind of does know everyone; as the former head of partnerships at Basic.Space, her reach runs deep. We met through a mutual friend at a Régime des Fleurs party last fall, and since then, I’ve watched her manage bespoke branded activations and partnerships through her agency, VESCORP.
In a sea of events, it’s Vesper’s attention to detail that sets her apart. Just two months ago, she partnered with Agent Nateur to celebrate the launch of the skincare and wellness brand’s Holi (Mane) collagen with a three-day café pop-up at the base of Aspen Mountain. (Think: a branded ski gondola and a curated drinks menu.) She brings that same care to her community events, like the inaugural all-female founders dinner she hosted to launch VESCORP. “I want to create environments that are welcoming and non-transactional—the antithesis of the events we dread going to,” she says.
Vesper curated a selection of her favorite products, with a focus on those that elevate everyday products, spaces, and routines. Find the solution to her dry skin, the cleanser she uses only on special occasions, and the eye masks that help her fall asleep faster below.
Biodance bio collagen real deep masks ($19 for four)
“For an indulgent night when you have two to three hours to sit still and pamper yourself, you need one of these masks. Over a few hours, the mask melts into your skin and turns from opaque to translucent. I first discovered them at the Korean beauty store Senti Senti, and then a few of my facialist friends—including celebrity facialist Cynthia Rivas—confirmed their excellence. They leave my skin feeling so plump. I never let any of the serum go to waste—after removing the mask, I pat the remaining product into my face and hands.”
CorneaCare rest self heating eye masks ($35 for 30)
“After getting served a few Instagram ads, I bought these self-heating eye masks purely out of curiosity. They come in single-use packs and quickly became a travel must-have. I love how they instantly relieve eye strain and help me fall asleep faster—so relaxing. They’re also great for a little comfort when I have sinus congestion.”
Santa Maria Novella rosa gardenia scented wax tablets ($38 for two)
“I love to scent my drawers with these wax bars—I use them both in and out of the bathroom. It’s a small luxury that instantly improves my mood and makes my space feel clean and fresh.”
Eadem mami wata face mist ($44)
“This face mist is perfect for any skin type and smells so delicate—think lilacs blooming plus fresh ocean air. There’s an emollient quality to the mist, with ingredients like Ectoine, panthenol, and squalane, which is one of my favorite barrier-repair ingredients. It’s the only thing that’s gotten rid of my cracking skin in the winter.”
Comfy Clubs muslin baby washcloths ($15.99 for 10)
“I started keeping these next to my sink to either a) use while I wash my face for manual exfoliation or b) pat my face dry after cleansing, using a fresh washcloth every time. This small upgrade has seriously changed the game. I’m breaking out less, and I love knowing I’m always using something clean.”
Nécessaire eucalyptus body wash ($38)
“I feel like these days I’m either spending $10 on body wash or $50, and when I want to spoil myself, this is my pick. I’m all about scents and I’m very picky, but the eucalyptus here strikes the perfect balance of sophistication and earthiness. Real spa hours.”
Hourglass volume II ambient lighting palette ($73)
“This palette is slowly becoming a mainstay in my routine. I use an angled brush—also from Hourglass—and rely mainly on the darkest shade in the palette to contour my cheekbones. The subtle, velvety finish isn’t too shimmery, and the tones are just cool enough to complement natural skin.”
Omorovicza cleansing foam ($89)
“This is by far the most expensive cleanser I may ever suggest, but it’s orange blossom-scented and so gentle. I love it so much that I rotate it with a few other cleansers just to make it last.”
Anastasia Beverly Hills velvety-matte lip liner ($22)
“I don’t wear lip liner every day, but when I do, I reach for this one in Chai, a cinnamon brown shade. It’s the best one out there, and I’ll die on that hill. It’s blendable and smooth but stays in place unless you move it around.”
Furtuna Skin rinascita delle olive replenishing balm ($105 for 18g)
“This balm for stressed skin is so beautifully crafted. A little goes a long way, so I find the travel-size version is perfect for occasional use. I love applying it as the last step in my skincare routine to seal in hydration and all my other products.”
One/Size mini on ’til dawn setting spray ($17)
“Here’s one I’m dying to try. I have an oily T-zone, so I’m always looking for ways to mattify myself—especially when I’m on the go from day to night—and I’ve heard such good things about this spray from friends who frequent events. Apparently, it keeps your full beat in place all night.”
Total: $495
I will be putting the eucalyptus body wash on my list. Sounds amazing and just what I need for a shower pick me up!
I just read this for the first time, and have successfully convinced myself to shop my own picks. 😂
