The November Edit: Gabriella Khalil’s irresistible jewelry—and more of what I’m loving, saving, and screenshotting...
Inside my current lineup: a cooling LED mask, my new manicure obsession, and the cleanser that kicked every other bottle out of my shower.
Where did October go? We dove head first into November with its dark evenings and slew of gift guides—one from me is coming next week. In the meantime, here’s what’s been on my mind…
I’m Loving This…
New LED routine just dropped. I’ve officially cast aside my old LED mask for Shark’s CryoGlow face mask. It’s incredibly comfortable to wear—and you can actually move around your home if you’re not using it in bed like me. It has a couple of settings to cycle through, but my favorite part is the cooling pads. I’m fanatical about icing my face after I get out of the shower—and I feel the consequences when I don’t—so I love that it’s depuffing my eyes while the LED does its thing.
When I think of date night perfumes, Victoria Beckham’s Suite 302 comes to mind. It has notes of cherry, leather, and cigarettes—sexy and a little dark. I still love it, but I wore it to death last year. Now I’ve moved on to D’Orsay’s Holy Berry. There’s no literal strawberry or oud in it—it’s a blend of accords with cardamom, iris, jasmine petals, vanilla, and sandalwood. It’s the kind of scent that makes someone lean in just a little closer to smell it on you—perfect for a date. No fewer than four people complimented me when I wore it to Merit’s happy hour at St. Jardim.
I’m meticulous about my nail routine. I do my own manicures at home with my tried-and-true tools and rarely deviate from my usual shade, but lately I’ve been loving Celisse’s nail kit. It comes with a cuticle oil that smells faintly of roses, bergamot, and vanilla, a nail buffer, a nail file, a top coat, and three your-nails-but-better shades. The polishes dry quickly, and I’ve gone up to eight days without any chipping.
I was walking by Teso Life after running out of deodorant earlier in the day, so I figured I’d stop in. Overwhelmed by the number of options—many from brands I’d never seen before—I asked a cashier for help. She recommended Deonatulle’s soft stone stick. The scent isn’t overwhelming like most American deos I’ve tried, and granted, I’ve only used it during cooler weeks and not in the dead of summer, but so far it’s excellent. And no, it’s not aluminum-free. There are certain areas of my life where I choose a more “natural” route, and I do love some aluminum-free deodorants, but it’s not a hard-and-fast rule for me.
I received Moda Operandi’s holiday discovery box in the mail, and I was genuinely impressed by the curation: Régime des Fleurs Green Vanille perfume, 111Skin eye masks, Sangre de Fruta mille fleurs body serum, Oribe protection spray, Violette_FR’s plume lip in Syrah Fumé, and more. But my immediate favorite was the Eliou x Crown Affair scrunchie (it’s not available for individual purchase anymore!). I actually haven’t worn it in my hair at all. It’s more of a bracelet to me, jingling a little as I move my arm and reminding me it’s there, just in case.
I had to stop myself from making a joke about Lore’s Lovely and A Little Twisted perfume being soooo me when I posted it on Instagram. But name aside, it actually is lovely… and a little twisted. Like everyone else, I’ve been impressed by founder Melanie Bender’s initial four offerings, but this one feels a little bratty with rose milk, patchouli, amber, and oud. Wait, do I like oud now?!
At one point, I counted around 10 different cleansers in my shower. They’re the easiest product for me to test. I cleared them all out not too long ago and left only one: Aunu’s. It’s made with mānuka honey. Aunu also makes a proper mask you can leave on for 20 to 30 minutes, but for a mini-mask moment, I put on a thick layer of the cleanser for five minutes before stepping into the shower.
Putting on body lotion is the last thing I want to do when I get out of the shower. Why does it feel so hard? I’ve been getting around it with Cyklar’s in-shower balms—my favorite’s Vanilla Verve but there’s a Sacred Santal version, too. Technically, it takes just as much time as putting on regular body lotion, but there’s something about rubbing it on when my skin’s still wet and I’m standing in the shower that feels better. Maybe it’s that I put on my robe and can head directly into my skincare routine? Whatever it is, I’m here for it.
I’m Eyeing This…
During an Upper East Side stroll with a friend a couple of weeks ago, I went into L’Occitane to wash my hands. It’s probably shameful to say that as a beauty editor this was my first time trying products from the brand, but I left so impressed with the hand balm. It’s incredibly silky but not greasy; it dried down fast but didn’t leave my hands feeling chalky; and the scent was present but not overwhelming. I need a few tubes.
Palm Heights and WSA’s Gabriella Khalil has great taste—that’s not up for debate. It’s unsurprising that her 11-piece fine jewelry collection with Erede is stellar. It’s architectural and just a little offbeat, the exact kind of jewelry I want to wear. I neeeeed this ring, these earrings, and this ring stack.
And speaking of Erede, I stared at the billow necklace for a good five minutes when I first saw it. Does anyone have $16,500 to spare?

I did a birthday tiramisu in a big silver bowl and coupes and would highly recommend
I love that you linked something from Sophie Buhai’s collection. She was one of my favorite class mates at Parsons. That manuka honey 🍯 cleanser looks effortlessly efficacious!
