I’m always curious about how other people move through the world—what fills their calendars, what they do when they’re in between things, and how they take care of themselves along the way. In Pretty Busy, I ask them to walk me through a couple of days in their life, hour by hour. The goal: to see what it really looks like to juggle work, beauty, and everything in between.

Yesterday,

Emma Benshoff
—the co-founder and brand director of literary brand and consulting agency
Lit Girl
—gave us an inside look at the five days she spent in Tokyo with her best friends, Emily and
Ashleigh Magee
. Now it’s time for the second leg of their trip: three days in Seoul. There was more beauty shopping (of course), more must-try pastries (yum!), and cultural sights (documented with plenty of photos). But this leg also included a visit to a skin clinic for a few treatments—when in Korea, right? Keep reading for must-try lip and cheek pots, innovative skincare, and flavored milks.

5:30am: Up for the airport! I made sure to be extra judicious with sunscreen this morning. My mom has drilled it into me: You must wear sunscreen on all flights.

7:30am: We made it to the airport and onto our flight. I spent the flight reading Set My Heart on Fire by Izumi Suzuki—on trips, I love to read books set where I’m traveling.

Spotted: a La Bonne Brosse brush <3

11:30am: Landed in Seoul! It took a minute to get through customs, but then we were en route to our hotel in Hongdae. I immediately clocked the Olive Young across the street—known as the Sephora of South Korea—and I knew I’d be making many stops there.

1:00pm: We had appointments at a clinic in an hour, so we opted for a quick lunch: Korean fried chicken at BHC. I accidentally ordered way too much, but it was all delicious.
